Mirman School seeks dynamic Elementary Lead Teachers for the 2022-2023 school year who are compelled by the school’s mission and committed to being a supportive educator . The Lead Teachers are responsible for supporting all formats of learning. . The Lead Teachers will conduct activities and engagement duties assigned by the Head of Lower School.

Essential Job Functions:
- Cultivate and model a respectful, safe, creative, and invigorating learning environment
- Utilize best instructional practices, pedagogical approach, materials, and technology to support highly gifted students across cultures
- Demonstrate ability to build immediate and loving rapport with children of all ages; including a passion for teaching and working with students from all communities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the academic, social, and emotional development of highly gifted children
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other teachers and assistant teachers throughout all grade levels on campus to strengthen community and student experience
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and usage of multiple forms of assessment in informing and driving instruction and evaluate student progress using both formative and summative assessments, benchmarks, and other assessments to guide instructional planning and promote student success
- Demonstrates culturally competent skills in educational program design and delivery
- Demonstrate effective and respectful management of classroom culture using social-emotional learning skills and strategies, such as Responsive Classroom, RULER, and our Core Values
- Work effectively with Head of Lower School and other faculty members
- Ability to effectively integrate best practices of NAIS and CAIS
- Effective use of Google suite and other required school technology.
- Technologically literate and comfortable with acquiring new technology skills.
- Exhibit the qualities of an adult learner dedicated to their professional growth
- Provide leadership and serve as a mentor

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university
- Master’s degree in education preferred
- 3-5 years of successful teaching as a lead teacher
- Independent school experience preferred
- Experience with working with highly gifted children preferred
- Experience with Reading and Writing Workshop, Responsive Classroom, and conceptual based math pedagogy preferred
- Appropriately credentialed preferred
