Episcopal Day is seeking a Physical Education Teacher. This individual will work with others in the Physical Education and Athletics Department to provide an engaging program to our Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth-grade students. We are looking for a passionate, committed educator with a strong background in teaching Physical Education to lower and middle school students. Candidates should be well versed in physical education instruction and comfortable working in collaborative environments.
This innovative team member will support our students and parents to carry forth the Episcopal tradition, Mission, Philosophy, and Core Values of our school. They will be responsible for designing a responsive, interdisciplinary program grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This position reports directly to the Athletics Director and is a 10 month position.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create a warm and caring classroom community
- Create a learning space that is differentiated, engaging and responsive
- Identify and respond to individual students’ social and emotional needs
- Use a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to engage students in learning
- Participate in reflection and coaching activities
- Lead PE activities and supervise groups of students in Pre-kindergarten thru 8th Grade Physical Education classes
- Work collaboratively with Division Directors and other staff members to build positive school culture
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of PE Classes
- Coach after school sports

- Comfort with implementing current technology and curriculum
