The Loomis Chaffee School announces a search for a three-quarter or half-time Ceramics and Sculpture Teacher to begin in August 2022. The preferred candidate has an MFA, experience teaching at the secondary school level, thorough knowledge of the media of both ceramics and sculpture, and an obvious joy in working with adolescents in a boarding community. Knowledge of kiln-formed and stained-glass work is a plus. The position will involve teaching a variety of courses in the Visual Arts Department. Loomis Chaffee is a boarding school and in addition to teaching Visual Art, other responsibilities could include dormitory residence or association and participation in the afternoon program at the school in a manner commensurate with the candidate’s skills.

The Loomis Chaffee School is an independent, coeducational boarding/day school of 700 students and 170 faculty members, located in the historic town of Windsor, Connecticut.
