Job Description
Gravitas is seeking to build the world’s premier online business and entrepreneurship program for students in grades 7-12. To that end, it is seeking a full-time teacher for the program’s new Redemptive Entrepreneurship Passion Academy. The teacher will develop and teach synchronous and asynchronous online Business and Entrepreneurship courses and provide live coaching for students entering competitions and working on entrepreneurial projects. Gravitas will be using resources from Praxis Labs and from Faith Driven Entrepreneur to anchor the program. The ideal candidate will not only be an innovative and inspiring teacher but also a great networker, as we aim to attract investors and volunteer mentors from industry to help our students with their ventures.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, or economics, and ideally an MBA
- At least three years of teaching experience, including online instruction
- Ideally significant entrepreneurial experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet grading and project deadlines
- Strong work ethic, high energy, and strong ability to connect with teenagers in the online context
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to respond quickly to all communications
- Eagerness to serve in a faith-based learning environment that emphasizes faithful Christian scholarship and character formation
- High proficiency with technology, including the ability to learn and utilize a learning management system like Canvas LMS, online software tools like the Adobe CC Suite, and the ability to create screencasts and videos.
- Consistent and dependable high speed internet access
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team of teachers, openness to providing and receiving feedback as part of a culture of transparency
- Ability to interact professionally with parents and school community members
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, as our students come from all over the world
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
- Maturity and stability sufficient for a demanding position
Primary Responsibilities
- Create sequences of courses in entrepreneurship from introductory courses to the advanced levels
- Provide synchronous and asynchronous instruction in those classes
- Grade student work
- Help students prepare for business and entrepreneurship competitions
- Build a network of volunteer mentors and investors
