Founded in 1831, Grand River Academy is an all-boys, college preparatory, boarding school with a strong tradition of devoting the necessary resources to attract and retain the best mission-appropriate students and Faculty from throughout the world. Now in its second century, Grand River Academy is located in historic northeast Ohio, approximately 45 miles from Cleveland. Grand River Academy enrolls both boarding and day students (75 percent boarding) in grades eight through twelve plus a post-graduate year. Our student body is composed of students from 14 U.S. states and 13 nations.
Terms of Employment:
- 12-month, Administrative salaried position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- To assist in the admission, enrollment, and marketing process.
- To present the school to prospective students and parents, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; interviewing prospective students and their parents; assisting families to proceed through the admission process/funnel; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
- To assist the admissions office in the creation and distribution of appropriate admissions and marketing materials, mailings, and publications.
- To organize and administer, with the director of enrollment, head of school, the
Financial Aid Committee, the program for scholarships and financial aid.
- To evaluate continually and redesign aspects of the admissions and marketing program with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment where appropriate.
- To assist in the management of the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year.
- To assist with building a network of parents, former parents, and alumni to assist in the admissions program.
- To keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment program.
- To assist with social media campaigns of the Academy
- To develop content for the current inbound marketing campaign
- To represent the school at various gatherings and conferences.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the head of school or director of enrollment.
- To support the school and its leadership.
Additional Recruitment Responsibilities:
- Coordinate local, national, and global recruiting efforts with the director of enrollment and development office.
- Perform external efforts to promote Grand River Academy’s program. Regular trips include conferences, school visits, and Education Consultant visits.
- Attend secondary school fairs and other feeder events.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of the Academy’s marketing plan for both regular and summer school.
- Create and maintain all listings in educational directories, both print and online.
- Assist with publications including view books, brochures, and newsletters.
- Maintain and create current/new referral sources such as feeder schools, other schools, guidance counselors, educational consultants, and wilderness and therapeutic programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend all Faculty meetings and other campus leadership events.
- Provide support to the residential and curricular programs.
- Serve as a member of the Administrative Team.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of Summer programs.
- Plan Admission events throughout the school and as well as during the Summer months.
