In this position, the Teaching Fellow will work alongside a master teacher to:
- Inspire and educate children to develop to their full potential – socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and creatively
- Create a safe, supportive, mutually respectful classroom community that values the distinct contributions and abilities of each child
- Implement integrated, meaningful, developmentally-appropriate curricula in which students can explore and experiment through first-hand experiences
- Create opportunities for students to know themselves, to make good choices, and take responsibility for their own learning and actions
In addition, Teaching Fellows:
- Engage 2 hours/wk of coursework with Head of British Primary Teaching and Learning
- Receive support and feedback from an advisor
- Actively engage in ongoing professional development
- Communicate and collaborate positively and professionally with the Stanley staff and community
Desired Qualifications and Background Experience:
- Prior experience working with children
- Bachelor’s Degree
