BCD’s Summer Camp is seeking energetic individuals who are looking for summertime employment and fun!
Our summer program is rooted in BCD’s motto – Respect Yourself. Respect Others. Take Responsibility for Your Actions. – and the same guideposts that make our school-year programs exceptional.
BCD’s Summer Camp program is open to children entering preschool through third grade (ages 3 – 8) who are either currently enrolled at Boulder Country Day School or have been accepted to BCD for the 2022-2023 school year. Camp is divided into two age groupings: Sandbox (for children ages 3-5) and Camp Boom! (for children ages 5-8). As such, BCD summer camp staff will be responsible for supervising the children in these groupings.
BCD summer program teaching staff responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervising students ages 3 - 8.
- Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Implementing age appropriate summer camp learning experiences, such as arts, crafts, games, and other summer camp activities.
- Communicating and collaborating with colleagues.
Professional Expectations – All BCD employees must:
- Find joy in taking risks and failing forward.
- Are passionate about their work; they are optimistic about and love working in a school environment.
- Possess a strong sense of integrity; they embody and promote trust and character in our school and its community.
- Employ innovative practices in their fields; they are curious, creative, and enthusiastic.
- Are eager to collaborate with multiple constituencies, including employees, parents, students, and members of the greater BCD community.
- Have a growth mindset; they are open minded, flexible, and reflective.
- Believe in and are committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
- Model balance - are deeply curious and share their interests within and outside of school.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Commitment
Boulder Country Day School recognizes, and values all forms of diversity and is dedicated to providing an inclusive environment which honors each member for their individual differences, experiences, and strengths. Our intentional commitment to embracing and exploring issues of diversity, equity, and inclusivity in support of social justice affords the freedom for all members of our school community to flourish as unique, confident, compassionate, and ethical individuals.
Application information:
BCD’s summer program is full of laughter, loads old-fashioned fun (think of running through sprinklers and potato sack races), and plenty of time outside in the Colorado sunshine.
All interested candidates should send a letter expressing their interest along with a current resume and at least three appropriate references to Kath Courter, kcourter@bouldercountryday.org. BCD will respond to qualified applicants.
