The successful candidate will teach a total of five sections – two sections of 8th Grade US History, two sections of 9th Grade AP World History, and one History or Social Studies elective for 11th and 12th graders (to be determined by the candidate and Department Chair). Sections have an average of 18 students. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include attending regular department and grade-team meetings, working with students in individual or small-group tutorials as needed, and communicating proactively with parents and administrators about student progress. Teachers may also be asked to take on additional duties, including serving as an advisor, club moderator, or study hall monitor.
