Dwight-Englewood School is seeking a dynamic individual with relevant experience in independent school admissions to lead the admissions process for Grades 9-11. In addition, the Admissions Officer is responsible for attracting and enrolling academically exceptional students, reflecting the diversity of the school community, and embodying Dwight-Englewood’s mission.
The Admissions Officer will strengthen the capabilities of the School's community outreach efforts and implement a strategic plan to build on an established regional awareness of Dwight-Englewood's educational assets, unique attributes, and academic excellence. The Upper School Admissions Officer is responsible in collaboration with the Admissions Team for meeting the Upper School enrollment goals.
The preferred candidate should have admissions experience, work well with various families, have technology/database management skills, exceptional communication, and interpersonal strengths; the candidate should also have strong organizational skills and a good sense of humor.
The Upper School Admissions Officer will manage the admission process for all Upper School candidates and have the ability to build relationships, inspire confidence, and enjoy interaction with a wide range of people, with an ability to collaborate with team members.
The Admissions Officer of the Upper School reports to the Dean of Admissions and works closely with the School’s Upper School Principal, Grade Deans, Faculty, and the members of the Admissions Committee.
This is a full-time, twelve-month position. College degree required; master’s preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Recruit and select students for enrollment in Grades 9 through11
- Interview the students and parents of prospective families
- Compile admissions reports and candidate admissions application files
- Direct and manage 60+ student tour guide programs for Upper and Middle School
- Open House programs
- Assist with developing marketing efforts for the Upper School as well as contribute to relevant website material.
- Participate in on-campus enrollment management activities
- Assist the Dean of Admissions as required
