Trinity Episcopal School seeks a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of Instructional Support for the 2022-23 School Year.

Overview: The Instructional Support role promotes and nurtures the education of students by supporting the faculty and leadership team, primarily with regard to literacy efforts, as we ensure that all students are learning in accordance with the mission and values of the school. This instructional support role supports the LS faculty and students 80% time and will act as a bridge to MS while supporting the MS faculty and students 20% time.
Responsibilities - Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Partner with lead Lower School literacy teachers to ensure systematic instruction, horizontal alignment, and creation of lesson materials that are in alignment with the overall literacy curriculum
- Collaborate with the the Lower School literacy curriculum team, and the Lower and Middle School Instructional Support team members to support classroom learning and student success
- Assist in the classroom, when and where needed, to provide differentiated small group instruction and support in best teaching practices
- Teach “Extensions” groups in grades 1, 2, and 3; and grades 5 and 6
- Assist with the coordination of strategy groups to address fluency, reading comprehension, and basic skills remediation in grades K-8
- Work closely with the Lower School team to gather and analyze assessment data for each grade level to create a presentation to share at grade-level DRT meetings
- Assist grade-level teams in grades K-8 with thrice yearly benchmark assessments; provide organizational and technical support for the collection, scoring, and reporting of assessment data
- Lead and participate in Lower School grade-level Data Response Team (DRT) meetings
- Manage Lower School online literacy subscriptions (Learning A-Z, Acadience Reading, and iReady) and oversee the coordination efforts for teacher training, materials management, and assessment data for supporting classroom instruction
- Support literacy leads and teaching fellows in the implementation of online literacy curriculum into the literacy classrooms for blended learning
- Coordinates the implementation of the Trinity Connect program in Grades K-4 for participating families
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Heads of Lower School and Middle School that further supports the Instructional Support role
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school, education-related training, and a minimum of three years classroom teaching experience are required. Strong verbal communication skills are expected. Ability to be an innovative, collaborative, and positive member of a faculty is imperative.
