Salary Details:

We are seeking a First Grade Lead Teacher. This role implements engaging multisensory learning experiences for the students in the classroom community. The Lead Teacher creates a nurturing support system, aimed at providing each child with the greatest opportunity for intellectual and personal growth. This role works within an Assistant teacher to develop a dynamic curriculum and comprehensive, holistic, and developmentally appropriate school experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute activities and practices that promote the RCS Seven Domain Model
- Tailor classroom activities to the developmental needs of each child
- Foster strong classroom community by helping children develop conflict resolution skills
- Teach students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
- Construct the classroom and school environment, in collaboration with the students, to foster a culture of belonging, inclusion, and authenticity.
- Document and discuss student’s progress with colleagues, families, counselors, students, and administrators
- Provide constant supervision of the students; take care of their health & safety needs
- Engage in positive, developmentally appropriate interactions with children while implementing Positive Discipline and Compassionate Communication.
- Design meaningful and relevant curriculum that can be adapted to support the range of learning needs and styles in the classroom.
- Integrate model curriculum from Singapore Math and Fundations to enhance a holistic learning environment.
- Design and implement enrichment programming, such as field trips, service-learning projects, and activities that take advantage of the local community resources.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, dynamic governance circles, and school-wide meetings and events.
- Attend any required in-service trainings on an annual basis and Living Wage Certified Institution.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience designing and building curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications:
