Located in Chestnut Hill, Crefeld provides an intentionally different college preparatory program to help students become their best selves.
The Crefeld School, serving 100 students in grades seven through twelve, is seeking a licensed full-time Social Worker to begin working August 26, 2022. All state licensures, credentials and state and federal checks need to be current at time of application. At Crefeld, this is one of two full-time primary clinicians on staff, reporting to the Director of Emotional Support.
Social workers help students cope with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior and socialization. Through one-on-one, classroom or school-wide sessions, school social workers address issues relevant to the student population they serve, such as school attendance, anxiety issues, and adjustment to the social setting of the school. They also are responsible for assisting teachers in developing plans for students with behavioral or emotional distress and provide ongoing support with these plans. School social workers maintain case files, liaison with outside supports as necessary and work collaboratively with parents. Social workers clinically supervise master’s level social work interns.
