We are seeking a 1st - 8th grade Technology Teacher & Integrator for its Hoboken Campus for 2022-2023 school year. This is a 10-month, full-time assignment starting in August 2022 and ending June 2023. Standard work hours and vacation as per the Faculty/Staff Handbook. Two weeks of work during Summer 2022 is required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Plan a technology education program involving demonstrations, student-led discussions, hands-on activities, and direct application of skills consistent with the school’s technology curriculum; organize activities for optimal learning.
- Instruct students in the proper use, care and safe handling of equipment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain relevant evidence of student learning.
- Evaluate the growth of students in their understanding and use of technology with regards to knowledge, skills and attitude and prepares reports.
- Meet regularly with campus Principal to set goals for working with teachers on technology integration.
- Meet regularly with teams of teachers to identify upcoming projects in order to suggest ways that technology might be integrated.
- Coach and assist teachers as they use new technologies in their classrooms.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, or escalates technical issues with students and teachers with assistance from the IT Director
- Provide opportunities for professional development throughout the year.
- Communicates with parents and appropriate school personnel on student progress.
- Participate in faculty committees and other required duties.
- Work effectively with all members of the staff.
- Exhibit an outstanding level of teacher support and collaborative spirit.
- Provides audio/visual setup & support for school events and ongoing support for classroom a/v installations
- Maintains equipment checkout/inventory system and assists IT Director in managing staff and student accounts
You have knowledge and experience with the use of a wide range of tools, media and learning environments for teaching, learning and assessing. You can identify appropriate technology to meet particular pedagogical needs. You have experience with and knowledge of curriculum development and you have strong classroom management and pedagogy skills. You have a willingness to grow professionally through ongoing professional development courses. You are a detailed-oriented team player with strong communication, organizational and strong interpersonal skills. You are competent in the use of Chromebooks, Macs, Android tablets, Microsoft and Promethean panels and you have an understanding of networking and cross-platform computer and mobile device troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Masters preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience
