Essential Functions:
To be successful in this role, the individual should be a self-starter, a team player, and have the ability to contribute to a joyful work environment. Detail orientation, proactivity, and the ability to multitask while working independently are a must. This role will support the Admissions, Communications/Marketing, and Development Divisions of the school.
Key responsibilities:
- Writing, editing, and distribution of school information including but not limited to newsletters, event invitations, drip email campaigns, website content, social media, and blog posts
- Serve as a point of contact for parent ambassadors, volunteers, and alumni, especially when organizing events
- Track, input, and analyze data in order to inform ongoing marketing and communications strategy
- Manage contact lists for Admissions/Marketing as well as Development
Admissions duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide communication and follow-up throughout the admissions process via email and phone
- Assisting with merit-based scholarship application collection and processing
- Scheduling and providing tours, student visits
- Assisting with in-person and virtual admissions events, school fairs, and other event planning and staffing
Development duties will include but are not limited to:
- Alumni and community relations
- Data entry and database management/reporting
- Coordinating mass mailings
- Management of Annual Report publication
Marketing duties will include but are not limited to:
- Social media posting, engagement, and reporting
- Event graphics and promotion via online websites
- Online reputation monitoring and engagement
- ‘Brand Journalism’ including story development, interviews, writing, and event photography/videography
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a professional manner with prospective and current families, students and alumni, staff, vendors, and others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, and ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Must be able to perform data entry quickly and accurately
- 1+ years of professional work experience required, prior school experience is a plus
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, and social media marketing is a plus
- Ability to work occasional nights or weekends preferred (1-2 times/month during admissions season)
