The Director of Academic Support is a full-time faculty position reporting to the Assistant Head for Academics. The Director leads the academic support program centered around our Academic Support Center. The Director will serve as a resource for both parents and faculty as they work with students with learning disabilities and differences. In addition to overseeing the academic support program and working with individual students, the Director will review psychoeducational testing; develop, in collaboration with the learning specialist team, academic accommodation plans; and coordinate the supervised evening study hall program. The Director will also provide periodic professional development workshops for faculty.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the field of academic support, a master’s degree in a special education, educational psychology or related field and a willingness to work in a boarding school environment which requires some evening and weekend work.
