Friends Select School is seeking a Pre-Calculus teacher for the 2022 SummerSessions program. This six-week course will run from June 20 - July 29 (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; no class on July 4th). The candidate should be familiar with current best practices and pedagogy, eager to work in a highly personalized environment, and energized by the strengths and challenges of early adolescent learners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach specified math summer program, per the provided textbook and scope/sequence
- Plan lessons and coursework, in accordance with the above
- Complete all necessary grading, including providing appropriate feedback and guidance to enrolled students
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics or related field, advanced degrees preferred
- Experience teaching Geometry
- Experience and proficiency with online learning tools, including Zoom and Google Workspace
