Assistant Rowing Coach
Greenwich Academy seeks a qualified assistant coach for its rowing program. We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and dedicated individual to coach the team’s 30+/- female athletes. Fall rowing is Upper School only and spring is both Middle and Upper School. Attendance at weekend competitions for the Upper School athletes is also preferred, but flexible. GA competes in the NEIRA 4's league. The team practices in Cos Cob, on the Mianus River, or on Greenwich Academy's campus, a ten minute drive from the water. The fall season runs from late August through late October and the spring, March through the end of May.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Prior rowing experience
- Prior coaching experience, specifically in club or school level
- Ability to organize and administer training plans and to direct practices
- Exceptional communication and motivational skills
- Ability to establish positive relationships with our community
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent personal character
- Experience operating motorized coaching launches
