Stafford House Study Holiday Program (SHSH) is part of Cambridge Education Group (CEG), one of the leading providers of pre-university academic courses and English language courses hosting international students aged 12-18. The program is designed to provide short-term language courses with evenly balanced academics, social activities, sports and excursions in a safe, well-managed environment.
Each year, Stafford House opens ‘pop-up’ schools in multiple locations across the US and UK. These schools offer an all-inclusive language and cultural experience for juniors students (ages 10- 18). In addition to daily ESL classes, Study Holidays students participate in a robust activities program that allows them to practice their English through sports and other social activities on campus as well as regular excursions to popular cultural & historical attractions within the New England area.
Our summer school is located in a brand new state-of-the-art facility. Our curriculum and teaching methodology focus on interaction and engagement. We want people to enjoy learning English by using English in a fun and energetic class.
Key responsibilities of ESL teachers:
- Provide excellent instruction in an integrated skills curriculum, using the communicative method.
- Offer weekday Intensive ESL classes (M-F 9am-12:15pm)
- Accurately maintain class and student academic records (i.e. Lesson Plans, Attendance, Grades, etc.).
- Provide superior customer service through your everyday interaction with students.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with:
- 1+ years of teaching experience in a similar ESL context
- The ability to take on additional duties as an activities leader or residential assistant
Compensation:
- Competitive Wage (DOE)

Essential Qualities:
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certification, MA TESOL or equivalent state educational TEFL certification
- Bachelor's Degree
- Has enthusiasm, energy and a get it done attitude
- Wants to contribute to a positive team environment
