Roland Park Country School seeks a full-time STEM and AP Statistics teacher to begin August 2022. This position will collaborate with both the STEM and Mathematics departments.
The primary goal of our STEM program is to prepare students for the innovation, design, collaboration, and leadership they will be called to in the future. The Holliday Heine STEM Institute offers students a rigorous certificate program that provides opportunities for project-based learning, real-world research experience, and collaborative design. STEM faculty aim to foster within our students the attitudes, cognitive skills, and academic foundations to investigate intellectually rigorous problems in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Mathematics Department empowers our students to be confident in their mathematical abilities and to achieve a deep level of mathematical reasoning. We strive to develop mathematicians who can transfer their skills to solve new and complicated problems, rather than simply presenting one way of solving equations. As a department, teamwork and collaboration is central to our work. The department supports all students in the math program by offering extensive extra help through our Math Workshop and office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach AP Statistics and STEM electives (emphasis on math and engineering)
