RECTORY'S INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION PROGRAM (IIP) celebrates the uniqueness of each person. Learning Services Position:
The Rectory School seeks a full-time Learning Specialist in our middle school (grades 5-9). A desire to work with middle school students is essential. Experience with student-centered teaching and having experience working with students with specific learning differences is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support/instruction for students
- Make regular assessments of student achievement and progress.
- Report regularly on student achievement and progress.
- Meet with individual parents as necessary to discuss the progress of their children.
- Assist with the writing of individual learning plans that will target pupils’ specific curricular/learning needs.
- Support teachers with learning support and assessment accommodations.
- Develop and maintain communication and documentation protocols related to learning support

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, admin, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Positive attitude, flexible approach, and a sense of humor.
