Bridges Academy
Bridges Academy, the premier school for gifted students with learning differences, is seeking an individual to serve as a Middle School “Science Project Manager.” We educate a unique population of students, with challenging learning differences who are bright, outside-the box-thinkers, capable of developing expertise at a very young age in any number of fields, from robotics to religion, string theory to Sanskrit, and politics to poetry. We refer to these students as twice-exceptional or 2e.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring individual to oversee, coach, mentor and guide students through Bio-Chem-Physics trimester science projects. Students will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of these disciplines in projects that they will display to parents and the community at a “fair,” at the end of each trimester.
A background in Science is required. Teaching experience is preferred but not required. People looking to transition from industry to education are highly encouraged to apply. Recent graduates from college and graduate schools are also highly encouraged to apply.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in Science and commitment to project-based learning, narrative assessment, and other progressive pedagogies.

- Strong work ethic and passionate commitment to the wellbeing of the whole child.
- Ability to receive feedback and engage in continuous self-improvement
- Flexible teaching/project management style that inspires enthusiasm, confidence, and meets the style of the student.
