Upper School Spanish Teacher
St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Spanish teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. We offer an established CI (Comprehensible Input) program in Chinese, French, and Spanish from PK to 12th grade. The ideal candidate would have the following minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related degree (or a native speaker with training in second language acquisition)
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
- 3 years of successful high school language teaching experience (teaching in the target language)
- Knowledge of adolescent development and ACTFL or CEFR standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to learn, teach, and develop the program
We also seek the following desired qualifications:
- An advanced degree in Spanish or a related field
- Experience in or knowledge of CI theory and techniques
- Experience teaching AP Spanish
- Ability to teach a French class

Requirements of the position:
- Teach 4-5 sections of Spanish III H- V H and AP
- Advise a small group of students
- Do an equal share of duty
- Monitor a study hall (if teaching 4 classes)
- Attend weekly faculty meetings
- Sponsor a club and/or serve on a school-wide committee if requested
