Most students come from the city of San Francisco and Marin County, though some commute from the East Bay and the Peninsula. Students of color make up about 50% of the student body. Job Opportunity:
San Francisco University High School seeks an organized, dedicated, and skilled Interim Manager of Information Technology who is responsible for the organization, integration, implementation, and maintenance of all IT functions at the school. This position is for one year only and is meant to coordinate and support a qualified team of IT professionals while ensuring day to day operations continue smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day management of the IT department, including data network and backup systems, firewall and security issues, databases, servers, printers, and telephone systems.
- Collaborate with IT personnel and supervise projects and day to day activities of the IT department.
- Manage vendor relations, procurement, installation, and implementation of information systems.
- Ensure the coordination, security, and efficiency of network infrastructure.
- Oversee the management of the school’s databases and internal and external networks
- Provide maintenance and support for all classroom technology, office technology, and audio-visual systems throughout the school as needed
- Assess and respond to IT needs as voiced by faculty, administration, and staff.
- Assume responsibility for other projects as assigned by the CFOO.
Salary and Benefits:
This position is a full-time interim position through June 30, 2023, with a competitive salary and extremely generous health and welfare, retirement and paid time off benefits. This position will not be renewed beyond June 30, 2023.

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (information technology, computer science, systems management, or related discipline); Master’s degree preferred
- Experience with Blackbaud a plus
- Professional technical certifications from Microsoft, Apple, Cisco, etc., preferred
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in the development, installation, and maintenance of information systems
- Current and in-depth knowledge of network architecture; telecommunication; wireless, mobile, and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of administrative and academic database systems a plus
- Demonstrated success in a supervisory/management role
- Strong organizational, technical, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Problem-solver with a high degree of diplomacy
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work collaboratively with a team
