Applications are now being accepted for the following Full-Time position:
Middle and Upper School Band Director
Major Responsibilities:
- Teach Beginner Band, Intermediate Band, Upper School Band, and AP Music Theory or Advance Music Composition in alternating years.
- Direct the holiday and spring concerts and any other programs as needed.
- Lead the CFA PEP Band.
- Lead the band for the Upper School Musical.
- Chaperone band trips for regional and state competitions and clinics
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The Teacher should be passionate, with experience and knowledge in all levels of music, composition, and conducting concert bands with a history of successfully teaching students from 6th – 12th grades. The Teacher should have an interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in music field required, Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
Three or more years of teaching experience strongly preferred.
Equivalency:
Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
