Position Summary: A Science teacher at Forman School plays an integral role in helping students think about the natural world, the scientific process, and the role science plays in explaining the way things work. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in biology and at least one other scientific field. S/he should be forward thinking in their pedagogical outlook and interested in the entire educational process.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of teaching experience in the sciences
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in science or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Student-centered educator, skilled in facilitating student discussion and collaboration
- Experience in curriculum design and innovative teaching practices
- Ability to write clearly and effectively in a variety of formats
- Strong verbal skills
- Experience with working with students with different learning styles.
- Ability to engage parents and create healthy relationships with students
Other Expectations: This position is a member of a boarding school faculty.
