Job Summary
We are seeking candidates for a full-time position encompassing the teaching of Lower School Physical Education classes and the coordination of our Extended Day program, starting in August 2022. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be prepared to teach P.E. to Lower School (Kindergarten-4th grade) students utilizing the current scope and sequence while expanding and enhancing it as desired. The successful candidate will coordinate after school enrichment classes for Lower School (Preschool-4th grade) students provided by outside vendors and supervise our Extended Day program providing after school supervision for our Lower School (Preschool-4th grade) students. Middle School (5th -8th grade) students may join the group when they require supervision as their after school activities end at 4:30 pm.
Desirable Characteristics
A bachelor’s degree in education, a specific subject area, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree and/or previous independent school experience.
