Our school is expanding our STEAM program as part of our mission to empower TPS students to shape their future by cultivating 21st-century skills. With a growing 1:1 middle school robotics program in addition to specialized STEAM instruction in Grades 4 & 5 already in place, our school aims as part of its strategic plan to offer more opportunities for students to engage in hands-on, challenging, creative, and project-based work so that they develop into inventors, changemakers, and entrepreneurs in an ever-evolving world. The STEAM Integrator will collaborate with teachers across grades to advance the existing science and technology curricula by establishing a vertically and horizontally aligned, robust and comprehensive STEAM curriculum that integrates subjects and deepens students’ understanding of STEAM concepts. The STEAM Integrator will develop inquiry-based learning experiences within a defined scope and sequence that foster students’ individual inventiveness.
