The Cedar School is a new private high school in Greenwich, CT, which opened in September 2021. The school serves bright, college-bound students with mild-to-moderate language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia. With a multisensory curriculum, an emphasis on the arts for every student, every day, and a focus on hands-on, experiential learning, the school prepares its students for a rich college experience after graduation. Founded by an experienced educator and school leader, the school will be a highly collaborative setting, valuing the input of its faculty, staff, students and families, and is committed to creating a deeply engaging intellectual program that truly understands how its students learn. With already established connections with leaders of similar schools across the country, The Cedar School strives to be a national leader in the education of students with language-based learning differences.
The school plans to enroll 25-40 students in its second year and grow to serve between 100-160 students in grades 9-12.
