Shattuck-St. Mary’s a private boarding school in Faribault, Minnesota is seeking an outgoing individual to join the Admissions Department. The Associate Director of Admissions works towards the goal of maximum enrollment each August, ensuring excellent quality and appropriate quantity of new students.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees domestic recruitment efforts for all-around students, academic and arts Centers of Excellence
- Conducts interviews with prospective candidates and their families
- Reads, reviews, and evaluates candidates for admission and coordinates a major segment of the applicant pool
- Travels out of state/country on behalf of the school for several weeks per year
- Represents the school at receptions, fairs, and comparable events
- Conducts information sessions or presentations for prospective families
- In concert with other departments, coordinates candidate recruitment for students with special interests
- Understands and is committed to life within a residential school setting, including such activities as dorm supervision

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Several years of relevant admission experience. Financial aid experience a plus.
- Proven track record as a highly collaborative individual with strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with applicable technology, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Web-based communication tools
- High energy and the interest and ability to work in a team environment
- Appropriate background checks are required.
