POSITION SUMMARY
With a demonstrated awareness and strong commitment to the values of the organization, the MAC Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support to end-users for MAC OS, solving customer service queries, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Essential Functions
- Engages users to assist in first tier troubleshooting of Mac OS and other computer related issues
- Utilizes JAMF Casper Suite, Apple Configurator, and iPad deployment techniques to manage the existing and growing inventory of Mac OS and IOS devices.
- Maintains accurate inventory of computers and ipads
- Determines the source and nature of computer malfunctions using diagnostic software. Provides repair to in-warranty and out of warranty Apple computers.
- Conduct research, create documentation, and design solutions as necessary
- Serves as a source of information and support on Mac specific hardware and application software
- Setup and install computers, monitors and peripherals; relocate existing equipment as necessary to support faculty, staff and administration
- Provides “Apple genius” level of service
- Engage in special projects as designated
- Provides training to Faculty in the proper use of Mac OS systems and applications
- Provides support on weekends and holidays as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- College Degree (Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of)
- Minimum of four years of experience in a similar position or equivalent training and experience
- JAMF Training or Certification
.Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Quaker Education and the Religious Society of Friends
- Experience in working in a PK-12 school environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and local area networking best practices
