Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Lower School Auxiliary Program Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and oversight of Poly Prep’s auxiliary programs, including after-school, enrichment, school vacation camps, and other non-tuition revenue generating programs. The successful candidate will possess a passion for teaching; an eagerness to deliver high-level customer experiences; a sense of humor; a thirst for innovation; and an enthusiasm for creative program development. She, he, or they will support teaching and learning during the day, and will leverage Lower School curriculum and constituent relationships to implement a relevant, connected, and coherent auxiliary program for students. The ideal candidate will inspire and empower students to learn, and will commit to the delivery of fun, safe, and profitable programs that cater to the diverse interests of LS families.
Start: July 2022
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Serve as the point person for LS programs that operate during out-of-school time
- Work onsite daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Coordinate and supervise regular after school program
- Design and implement three trimesters of enrichment classes and a two-week June camp
- Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate auxiliary program instructors
- Manage daily schedule and ensure proper coverage in the case of staff absence
- Work with Communications to send timely notifications about program registration
- Oversee program registration process, from database preparation through enrollment
- Handle daily communication with families and promptly address questions and concerns
- Maintain accurate attendance records and and submit student billing in a timely fashion
- Manage payroll for Poly Prep staff and payments to vendor programs
- Implement a system for program evaluation by parents and students
- Build and maintain annual budget, track expenses, and achieve revenue targets
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with daytime classroom supervision including lunch, recess, special subjects, class time, transitions, field trips, and trips to the park
- Support student learning in collaboration with homeroom teachers
- Cultivate LS curricular connections and relationships to inform program offerings
- Communicate professionally with all members of the community
- Ensure programs are planning in advance for timely rollout of student registration
- Work outside of scheduled hours as needed for program planning and parent follow-up
- Maintain current certification in CPR/First Aid/Epipen and track staff certifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
- At least three year of experience teaching elementary-aged students; experience working in an after school or summer camp program
- Basic business skills (experience with Google apps including Google sheets); experience with database management; experience with customer service

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
Experience: One year teaching students between the ages of 3- and 12-years-old
