Garrison Forest School (GFS) seeks a Major & Planned Giving Officer to begin August 1, 2022. Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Director of Advancement, the Major & Planned Giving Officer will develop and execute strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major, capital, and planned giving prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 75+ prospects and energetically seek to advance the mission of GFS.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the mission and priorities of Garrison Forest School and represent these needs to constituents.
- In collaboration with the Director of Advancement, determine major giving goals and objectives, resulting in an annual work plan.
- Identify prospects and pursue leads through the creation of proposals and closing of gifts.
- Lead and market the school’s planned giving program, with the expectation of enrolling new members annually to the school’s planned giving society.
- Prepare communication materials, including funding proposals and solicitations, for prospects and donors.

GFS offers a national and international boarding program for girls in grades 8-12.
