Kent Place School is seeking a calculus and physics teacher to inspire upper school school girls to develop their interests in math and pursue futures in STEM fields. We seek individuals who enjoy collaboration with colleagues, demonstrate the personal initiative to innovate in their teaching practice, and who are interested in growing as a teacher and teacher-leader. Candidates should have a keen interest in using math to investigate and answer interdisciplinary questions in both the natural and social sciences. The candidate would join math and science departments committed to lesson study and the use of assessment to develop girls' love of learning, confidence, mathematical proficiency and scientific inquiry. Responsibilities will also include advising a group of students and participating in community events. Candidates with all levels of calculus and physics teaching experience will be considered; a Master's degree in academic field or in Teaching, and the ability to teach different calculus courses are desired.
