POSITION TITLE: Assistant Athletic Director
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
SUPERVISES: N/A
FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full-time
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the Athletic Director with the budget, ordering, and paying invoices
- Handles all financial reporting and playoff games
- Manages athletic scheduling and communication as it pertains to athletic contests, student transportation, and early dismissals.
- In conjunction with Athletic Director, coordinates and schedules with outside vendors and groups for use of the Student Activities Center
- Assists the Athletic Director with ineligibility and CIF transfer paperwork
- Takes the lead in handling any athlete issues regarding their commitment to their team
- Assists Athletic Director with mentoring coaching staff in such a way as to maintain an elevated level of morals, ethics and sportsmanship among staff and participants.
- Collaborates with coaches to maintain and update information on MaxPreps, Scorebook Live and CIF-SS Home
- Collaborates with coaches to maintain and update information on school public website, calendars, and Schoology
- Provides blurbs and summaries to Marketing and Communications for Pioneer Connections, Pioneer Press, Weekly E-Bulletin, New Pioneer Digest
- Assists Athletic Director in development of athletic presence in marketing materials and public website
- In coordination with Athletic Director, provides appropriate supervision of Student Activities Center when necessary
- Works in rotation with the Athletic Director to cover all varsity home games (on and off campus)
- Serves as a liaison between Providence St. Joseph Health and Athletic Trainer to determine schedule and athletic programming needs.
- Collaborates with the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer to ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and on file prior to an athlete participating in a sport
- Collaborates with the Athletic Director in the planning and organizing of social media coverage of student-athletes, teams, and other Athletics-related events
- Takes the lead on organizing all aspects of the sports banquets
- Completes and submits Facility Request Forms for banquets, parent meetings, etc.
- Coordinates all CIF, Athletic Department, and banquet awards.
- Organizes and schedules team athletic photos in coordination with selected third-party vendor
- Direct and oversee communication and preparation for Senior Night athletic events.
- Manages the school’s Campus Store, including budgeting, ordering, paying invoices and distribution of apparel
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communication to select merchandise for the Campus Store
- Performs the duties of the Associated Student Body (ASB) Co-Moderator, assisting the ASB Moderator in overseeing the following student clubs and events: ASB meetings, Pep Rallies, Dances, Two Leadership camps, Theme Night, Preview Day, Grad Night
- Performs other duties as assigned by Administration.
