The school is a vibrant, faith-filled, Catholic community with rich traditions. Co-educational since 1976, Marist has a robust enrollment today of approximately 1,100 students in grades 7 through 12. Marist faculty have, on average, 19 years teaching experience and 85% hold advanced degrees in their fields. The student/faculty ratio is 11:1, and the average class size is 17. The student body is 75% Catholic and 23% of color. Approximately $2 million in tuition assistance is awarded each year.
In the school’s collaborative leadership model, the President works closely with an experienced cabinet of senior leaders, including the Principal, Vice President for Enrollment and Operations, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, and Vice President for Finance. The President reports to a Board of Trustees. The President’s main charge is to strengthen and sustain the mission of Marist by upholding the school’s tradition of excellent academic and spiritual formation, competitive athletic, artistic and educational extracurricular pursuits, and a focus on humble service and faith in the spirit of Mary.
