The Assistant Director of Alumnae Engagement manages all aspects of alumnae engagement program including engagement and solicitation of alumnae for the Stuart Fund and other giving opportunities. In addition, s/he will collaborate with other development and leadership staff in designing engagement strategies that promote the mission of the School and invite lifelong engagement of our alumnae. Working closely with colleagues in Advancement, Admissions and Academic Divisions, the Assistant Director will ensure growing and meaningful participation from current students and alumnae in the Stuart Fund, publications, Board leadership and with our students.

Alumnae Engagement:
- Develop and execute an annual calendar of engagement and mentorship
- Establishes a robust reunion engagement and giving program, increasing dollar and donor participation.
- Identify and develop creative digital, virtual and in-person opportunities and programs to foster alumnae connections.
- Plan and execute Alumnae Monitor its success and consistently strive to increase attendance and the benefits of attendance for the participants.
- Collaborates with the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Annual Giving in providing administrative support to the Alumnae Board.
- Plan and implement regional or local events as appropriate including to Little Christmas, 100 Days, Alumnae Induction, Alumnae Day, and regional and affinity gatherings and programs
- Partners with the Associate Director of Communications in developing effective contact with alumnae through social networking tools, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, and the Stuart Responsible for all e-communications to alumnae.
- Collaborates with key academic units and programs including the Director of the National Center for Girls’ Leadership at Stuart, Director of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and academic leadership to support mentorship and facilitate student to alumnae connections including events and programming.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of the Alumnae Gallery including the Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award and Athletic Hall of Fame (in partnership with Department of Athletics).
- Writes, develops and disseminates alumnae communications including quarterly alumnae newsletter, class communications and important announcements.
- Maintains records of alumnae updates, milestones and celebrations to be shared in
- Develops and updates alumnae webpages including alumnae
- Coordinate connections with the Society of the Sacred Heart Alumnae
Donor Cultivation:
- Manage a portfolio of 25+ alumnae donors with the capacity to make a leadership level gift to the Stuart Fund or other giving opportunity.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Annual Giving to collaborate on donor prospects.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Oversees Stuart’s Alumnae Philanthropic Circle and Alumnae Campaign Sub-Committee, which actively engages alumnae in a culture of philanthropy and engagement in the life of school through solicitations and programming designed to further the work of women’s
Stewardship:
- Drafts acknowledgement and stewardship letters for gifts to the Stuart
- Develops engaging stewardship practices through annual reports, impact reports and events to deepen alumnae donor connection.
- Assists in execution of annual Founders Reception and Sophie
- Prepares stewardship materials and copy for annual
Additional responsibilities:
- Plans, prepares and participates in development events as

The Assistant Director shall possess the following qualities and qualification:
- Must possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and verbal skills with the capacity to deal with the School community with poise and kindness.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s
- A minimum of three years of experience in development, alumnae engagement or non-profit management. Direct experience with fundraising is preferred.
- Experience managing staff or
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google tools.
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge donor management system or crowd-funding platforms
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing
- Must possess the ability to work independently as part of a small, close-knit

Physical Demands:
- This position requires employees to work on-site with some off-campus travel
