The Lab School of Washington seeks a full-time or part-time High School American Sign Language teacher for the 2022-2023 academic year. The ideal candidate has: an advanced degree in ASL Education or a related field and experience teaching American Sign Language, Deaf History, and Deaf Culture to high school students with learning differences. Essential functions of this job include modeling and teaching accurate hand shapes using the five parameters of ASL, and an ability to effectively exchange and impart information with and to students who have language-based learning differences.
All faculty and staff employed by Lab must be fully vaccinated against covid-19 or submit an official medical exemption.
