Requirements: Recent Coaching experience within the last 1-5  years with K-12 athletes.

The Hamlin School seeks to hire employees who will support and implement the school’s mission and Creed at all times. The Hamlin Athletic Department is also excited for the use of our brand new full sized gym. The gym opened along with our new building in March of 2022. 

JV Volleyball Coach (2 Coaches)

This position will be essential to the growth of the program and coaching Grades 7-8 girls. The JV Coach(es)  will have a foundational knowledge of the game, can teach fundamentals, and will work closely with the Varsity coach in order to teach the strategies needed to develop their players to be varsity players in the future. This coach needs to be fundamentally sound and excited to work with players to develop them for more competitive play. Prior coaching experience with this age group is preferred.

Season: Late  August - Early November

Practices/Games:

• Tuesdays/Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m starting Tuesday 8/23
• No more than a 3 day a week commitment. There will be no practice for a team if they have a game. We will not have the game schedule until late August or September. 

6th Grade Red Volleyball  Coach 

This position will be focused on the fundamental skill development of players in Grades 6 who are new to the game or are interested in building their skills in a less competitive team environment. This coach needs to be enthusiastic and possess a solid understanding of the basic skills of  volleyball (setting, passing, hitting serving)  Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required.

Season:  Late August - Early November

Practices/Games:

• Starting the week of August 31 Mondays/Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
• No more than a 3 day a week commitment. There will be no practice for a team if they have a game. We will not have the game schedule until late August or September.
  

Grade 5 Volleyball  Coach (2 needed)

The Grade 5 coaching positions will be focused on the fundamental skill development of players while preparing them with the skills and strategies needed to play at a higher level in the future. These two coaches need to be enthusiastic and possess a solid understanding of the basic skills of volleyball (setting, passing, hitting and serving)  Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required.

Season: Early August - Early November

Practices/Games:

• Practice: Starting the week of August 31 - the first or second week of November
• Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45 p.m.
• No more than a 2 day a week commitment. There will be no practice for a team if they have a game. We will not have the game schedule until late August or September.
