Brandon Hall School seeks an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Admissions starting July 1, 2022. The position will play a key role in assisting the Admissions Office and school community in the development and implementation of a strategic program to attract and recruit applicants and families to meet enrollment goals. The Assistant Director of Admissions, often the first person families meet, must be warm, welcoming, resourceful, and knowledgeable. They will have a genuine empathy for prospective families and an awareness and sensitivity of the diverse needs of our community.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Admissions to manage the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
- Work as part of a team to actively develop plans and initiatives to recruit, enroll, and retain a diverse community of mission-aligned day and boarding students, while staying within the admission and financial aid budgets.
- Build relationships and create networking opportunities with faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni through presentations and individual correspondence that promote the School’s unique brand and learning environment.
- Serve as a primary and/or secondary point of contact through phone, email and in-person for the Admissions Office.
- Work with the Director of Admissions to coordinate, schedule, lead tours and conduct interviews with prospective students and families and other visitors.
- Provide guidance and counseling for prospective students and families through the admissions process.
- Travel for school-specific events, information sessions and other recruitment events.
- Proactively communicate and follow up with prospective students, discussing their interests and answering questions about the admission process and the vast opportunities available at the School.
- Work with admissions and enrollment management software (Blackbaud onBoard) to maintain accurate data and indexing supporting documents.
- Manage digital materials for accepted students, including admissions decision letters, enrollment contracts, and financial aid decision letters.
- Schedule visits and work with agents, educational consultants, and admissions offices and feeder school placement directors for local K-8 schools.
- Coordinate and share travel responsibilities, both domestic and international, with the Director of Admissions on behalf of the school.
- Effectively represent Brandon Hall School in one-on-one appointments, group presentations, fairs and conferences while keeping meticulous recruitment records.
- Collaborate with the Director of Admissions in planning, organizing, and executing admissions events.
- Work with the Director of Admissions and Marketing and Communications Office to coordinate internal and external marketing and communication initiatives.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the School’s education market and assist with data analysis, reporting, marketing, and strategic planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years experience in school admissions or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in student and family recruitment
- Ability to successfully prioritize multiple tasks in an atmosphere where time-sensitive deadlines are the norm
- Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills including the ability interact with a broad range of constituents including students, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and professional growth and development
