Job Description:
Westover School is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Director of Athletics beginning at the end of August 2022. This role is a full-time 10 month administrative position. The Director of Athletics has the responsibility of developing an environment where the community identifies athletics as an integral and important piece of the students’ education, guiding the athletic program parallel to the changing environment in women’s athletics, and creating and implementing new programs to keep the vitality of the department.
Responsibilities:

Track students’ placement and involvement in the athletic program during their Westover career making sure all students fulfill their afternoon activities requirements for graduation.

Coordinate department offerings for the student body including off-campus athletic experiences.

Oversee coordination of all aspects of the teams’ postseason play and pre-season training trips.

Prepare and oversee the athletic budget including transportation, uniforms, equipment and training.

Responsible for the safety of athletic equipment and ensuring that it meets current standards, codes, and requirements.

Coach varsity programs as needed and serve as advisor to the Student Athletic Association Heads

Disseminate athletic information to Westover and the wider community.
Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have experience playing/coaching at the high school or college level.

Pass background check and other references, as needed.

Practices will take place 5 days a week in the afternoons, and games are scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday afternoons as well as the odd off day.
