Job Description
Tallulah Falls School is seeking a talented and versatile middle school science teacher with a desire to positively impact the educational and social development of every student. Candidates will want to be part of a family-oriented academic environment, where serving our students is the top priority. TFS faculty and staff play an integral role in meeting the educational and emotional needs of our students in and out of the classroom. Our students, faculty, staff, parents, and supporters form a close-knit school family where everyone feels a sense of belonging and purpose. We all work together as a team to accomplish a common mission.
An in-field Georgia teaching certificate and a BS in Science Education (Middle Grades) are required. The ideal candidate should be able to: create, foster, and model a positive and collaborative learning environment; plan, structure, and execute meaningful and engaging lessons and activities; facilitate the use of the Google Apps suite; improvise and adapt quickly with infinite patience and an unrelenting sense of humor; demonstrate the confidence and courage to influence and inspire students, parents, and colleagues. Coaching at least one sport is expected; currently, there are coaching opportunities in track and field. A minimum of five years of teaching experience is preferred.
