Houston Christian (HC) is accepting applications for the position of Dean of Students to begin the 2022-23 academic year. This position assists and reports to the Principal and works in collaboration with all Administrators, Staff, and Faculty. This is a full-time and exempt position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other relevant areas.
- Proficient in basic technology applications, electronic grade book and curricular software and hardware. Google Apps knowledge is necessary.
- Excellent verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Represent the school in a positive light.
- Committed to the mission and values of Houston Christian High School.
Qualified candidates should have five years mid-management administrative experience in student management and student activity programs. A passion to mentor and engage students is vital to this position. Candidate should be a team player that demonstrates the ability to mediate, monitor and manage student, teacher, parent, school, and home dynamics. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in collaboration with ancillary programs that directly affect student disciplinary management: Counseling Department, Chaplain, Spiritual Life Program, Student Council, school retreats. Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage details of the master activity calendar are required. The successful candidate will possess a vision for excellence at the high school level and a strong desire to achieve success. Occasional after school, evening or weekend hours will be expected.
