The Testing Coordinator will work in the Upper School and provide support for the Upper School testing needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support the Upper School testing center
- Coordinate with the second testing center proctor on the procedures of the Testing Center
- Provide a quiet and secure testing environment
- Monitor time spent and resources used on tests
- Communicate as needed with teachers about student tests
- In collaboration with the Assistant Head of Upper School, oversee all standardized testing and semester testing in the Upper School.
- Stay abreast of updates from the CollegeBoard and ACT about changes to administration of PSAT, PreACT and AP tests.
- PSAT and PreACT
- Order exams for all 10th (PreACT) and 11th grade (PSAT) students
- Work with Learning Specialists to identify which students are approved for accommodations on these tests
- Oversee pre-administration sessions
- Create testing room rosters
- Assign testing rooms and proctors
- Communicate testing room rosters
- Train proctors
- Receive and organize testing materials
- Serve as a resource on test day
- Sort and return test materials following the testing organization’s procedures
- AP Testing
- Oversee student enrollment in myAP, the online platform that allows the school to order AP tests
- Work with Learning Specialists to identify which students are approved for accommodations on these tests
- Create testing room rosters
- Assign testing rooms and proctors
- Communicate testing room rosters
- Train proctors
- Receive and organize testing materials
- Serve as a resource on test day
- Sort and return test materials following the testing organization’s procedures
- Semester Testing
- Using the pre-established calendar for testing, secure rooms for testing
- Work with Learning Specialists to identify which students are approved for accommodations on these tests
- Create testing room rosters
- Assign testing rooms and proctors
- Communicate testing room rosters
- Train proctors
- Serve as a resource on test day
- Summer duties
- Coordinate Network of Complementary Schools program during Interim Term. Participate in summer conference.
- Work with Deans’ Office to identify any 10th grade students who may take the PSAT instead of the PreACT
- Order PSAT and PreACT materials
- Go through testing materials in the storage closet and properly secure or dispose of old PSAT, PreACT and AP testing materials.
- Participate in CollegeBoard online training for AP Coordinators and PSAT coordinators
- Participate in ACT online training for PreACT coordinators
- Update testing center cover page
- Assess if any materials are needed for the testing center
- Write teacher communication about the testing center procedures (especially for new teachers)
- Assign lockers by community group
- Input locker assignments into Veracross
- Zip tie unused lockers closed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of qualities of a supportive and secure testing environment
- Awareness of standardized testing processes and purposes
