The Marvelwood School is seeking a high school Spanish teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2022. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of teachers and work with students in grades 9-12, teaching all levels of Spanish.
We seek innovative candidates who will value the opportunity to commit fully to the academic, social, and emotional support and development of teenagers and who possess the necessary technical skills to appropriately and effectively integrate technology, hands-on learning, student collaboration, and online resources into their teaching. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and preferably at least two years of secondary teaching experience in Spanish. Most desirable are candidates who will participate eagerly in the broader life of the School by contributing to competitive athletics, extracurriculars, and residential life programming.
Duties of a full-time faculty member include, but are not limited to: teaching 4-5 classes, advising, weekly community service, evening dorm duty and monthly weekend duty, and two seasons of coaching or the equivalent. Candidates must be able to obtain a passenger endorsement on their driver's license in order to transport students.
Salaries fall within a wide range and are commensurate with experience and versatility. The average salary range for this position is $35,000-$45,000. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a matching retirement plan, and meals when school is in session. Housing on campus may be available.
