Description:
The Associate Director of Communications position supports the Head of Communications and is responsible for creating and managing digital and print communications, including emails, social media, jumbotron/TV’s, event photography, and graphic design. They will help ensure all messaging and graphics keep a consistent and cohesive brand image.

Responsibilities Include:
- Emails/Veracross: Manage and coordinate email schedule throughout the year, including the Tiger Times Daily Updates, the HC Weekly Bulletin, and stand-alone emails to groups of 30 or more constituents. Manage and update Parent Portal in Veracross.
- Social Media: Creating and managing daily postings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok. Coordinating with Head of Communications and other divisions for appropriate messaging on each. Maintain schedule to keep topics fresh and innovative. Reporting on success/follow rates monthly. Exploring other platforms and recommend implementation when appropriate.
- Photography: Taking photos for web and print use, photographing school wide events and managing photo archives.
- Graphic Design: Produce flyers, signage, social media assets, and simple marketing materials. Assist in the production in-house programs, magazine, and assorted publications (from photo selections to corrections and printing).
- Create content and manage the schedule for the jumbotron and TVs around campus.
- Collaborate with printers and other vendors to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist with the maintenance and updates of the Holy Child website. Conducting regular sweeps of site for updates; track job tickets and assist with implementing changes as directed by the Head of Communications.
- Assist in planning the marketing/email/social media calendars and campaigns.
- Must be able to project manage own workload and work on multiple projects going on at the same time.
- Assist with video production.
- Supporting the school and its leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors’ degree or relevant work experience, including three-five years’ experience working in marketing and communications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in education.
- Experience in Canva or Adobe
- Knowledge of Wordpress or CMS
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Photography experience a plus.
- Experience managing CRM systems and setting up emails in Veracross and/or Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
- Microsoft Software efficient (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to be a team player and member of the community.
- Interact with all community members in a professional and respectful manner whether communicating in person, on the phone or by email.
- Strong understanding of, and respect for, Catholic faith, beliefs, and practice.
- Commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values.
- Able to lift small items of up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Additional Information: Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Some night and weekend work are required.
