JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Richard’s is currently seeking a full-time Middle and Lower Division Science faculty member to teach two sections each of grade 5 and 6 science four days a week, and grades 3 and 4 for the 2022-2023 academic school year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
This successful candidate should possess the following:
- A strong understanding of the unique learning needs of middle and lower division students and ability to meet these needs.
- Passion for teaching science and the scientific processes.
- The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of students.
- A sensitivity to and knowledge of multiple and multicultural perspectives.
- The intentional use of best instructional strategies.
- A desire to work collaboratively as a member of the Lower and Middle Division faculty to support students and colleagues and follow policy and procedures.
- A positive and effective approach to classroom management.
- An ability to communicate effectively with the entire school community including students, colleagues, parents, support staff and administration are required.
- Experience in education and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred in a related field.
- A willingness and the ability to engage in learning experiences beyond the classroom.
- An openness to feedback, to learn new skills, and engage in continuous learning.
- A desire to work in a diverse community committed to celebrating differences.
