Grammar School Fourth-Grade Classroom Teacher
The Fourth-Grade Classroom Teacher holds primary responsibility for the implementation and development of the CGPS curriculum and the success of its students. The Grammar School Classroom Teacher is committed to continuously improving curriculum and instruction through collaboration as part of a grade level departmental team. The ideal candidate is a talented, committed, and warm educator who fosters the potential for excellence in all students, equipping them with the intellectual and social-emotional skills necessary to ensure continued academic success.
Responsibilities
- Create unit plans that reflect sequential learning with differentiated activities based on students’ knowledge and skills.
- Use department guidelines to assess and evaluate students throughout the year, maintaining records and writing report cards accordingly.
- Collaborate positively and respectfully with all members of the Grammar School community, including colleagues, school administrators and parents.
Work Hours
- 7:45am to 3:30pm, 7:45am to 4:30pm on Department and Faculty Meeting days

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years full time teaching experience, preferably in elementary education
- Valid State Certification is helpful but not required
- Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with parents
- Strong commitment to, belief in, and alignment with CGPS’s mission and values
