Physical Education Teacher
This is a full-time position within the Physical Education/Athletics department reporting to the Director of Athletics
Major Responsibilities:
- planning and implementing physical education activities
- monitoring students, and evaluating student outcomes.
- Serve as partner and colleague in the Physical Education and Athletics Department
- Teach Lower and Upper School Physical Education Classes
- Coach middle school team each season or teach middle school fitness
- Coach an Upper School sport
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have a
- bachelor's degree and three years of teaching/coaching experience in athletics or physical education
- The ideal candidate will have
- a minimum of a bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in physical education or kinesiology and five years of teaching/coaching experience
All candidates must be able to :
- work in an environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
- occasionally lift 45 pounds
- work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled classroom environment
- work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and col
