The Briarwood School is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist who has obtained their Certificate of Clinical Competence and who holds a license within the state of Texas to join our team of therapists for the 2022-2023 school year.
The full-time position will likely be working with students of various ages within the Tuttle School, the special needs division of the Briarwood School.
Our model is to provide diagnostic-prescriptive intervention in a 1:1 setting or in a small group of two. Given our manageable caseloads, we are able to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents regularly to ensure maximum benefit and carry-over for our students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Participate in conducting hearing screenings
-Participate in conducting new student screenings to determine need for Speech Therapy services
-Conduct appropriate testing within a caseload for prescriptive report writing and goal
setting
-Generate comprehensive goal reports, progress reports, and final reports for students throughout the year
-Deliver individualized Speech Therapy services daily to students
-Manage caseloads and schedules
-Attend parent conferences throughout the year
-Attend scheduled in-service/faculty/department meetings, including pre-school
planning and orientation meetings and end of the year teacher workday(s)
-Attend CEU courses affiliated with The Briarwood School
-Performance of all duties professionally, efficiently, faithfully, and in compliance with
the rules and regulations of the school
