CATS Academy Boston seeks a full-time Dean of Student Life to begin immediately. Reporting to the Head of School, the Dean of Student Life is a key member of the school’s Administrative Team in overseeing the student life program. Located on a beautiful campus in Braintree, Massachusetts, CATS Academy Boston is an independent boarding and day school for 350 students in grades 8-12/PG.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the overall planning and management of the Student Life Program
- Create and execute student programming for students outside of academic learning
- Oversee the Student Advisory Program
- Communicate to the community school events
- Oversee the Academy’s discipline program and serve as the Chair of the Discipline Committee
- Communicate regularly with both students and parents/guardians
- Maintain the student management database
- Lead the Student Support Team meetings to discuss students of concern
- Create and oversee the Academy’s student events and school spirit activities
- Plan and conduct weekly assemblies with the entire school community
- Oversee student activities on campus including club activities, Student Government, and other student-led initiatives
- Direct report of Student Government Faculty Advisor
- Manage budget for Student Life activities
- Create a schedule and execute New Student Orientations
- Serve as an Administrator on Duty as part of a rotating weekend schedule
- Oversee the student handbook policies and procedures
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School
OTHER
- On-campus housing is available. This position includes dormitory parenting responsibilities if the Dean of Student Life resides on campus.
